About ARI/POLI

The International Relations Office (ARI/POLI) acts as the gateway to the Polytechnic School of the University of Pernambuco (POLI/UPE) in all international affairs.

ARI/POLI’s activities consist of advising and assisting students and professors, carrying out exchange programs and academic actions with higher education institutions abroad, accompanying Brazilian and foreign students and professors, in addition to promoting the school globally.

ARI/POLI is engaged in the noblest mission of collaborating with the internationalization of the university, and for that it works internally by organizing international actions, and externally, through its social networks, promoting these actions and partnerships, renewing and generating new international agreements, seeking and improving appropriate and innovative management practices, and bringing information of global interest to our students and professors.

Objective

Promote the Polytechnic School (POLI/UPE) at national and international level and encourage the exchange of knowledge among Brazilian and foreign students and teachers.

Bachelor in Computer Science from Universidade Estadual Paulista in 1998, Master in Philosophy also from UNESP in 2001, and PhD in Computer Science from Universidade Federal de Pernambuco in 2008, with an area of ​​concentration in Intelligent Systems. He is currently an Adjunct Professor at the University of Pernambuco (UPE), Escola Politécnica (POLI), in Control and Automation Engineering (Mechatronics) and Head of the International Relations Office at ARI/POLI.
